I just got woken up by a small earthquake. I didn't know they had those here and I have never felt one before. I thought someone was jumping on the roof! It inspired me to write in my blog.
Last night was uneventful. Eric and Nicole did not get home from class until 6pm, so we didn't do anything as they were very tired. Steve came down and Nicole made us a dinner of stir fried vegetables over rice with garlic bread. We scarfed that down with some vino and discussed Spanish a little bit. We decided it would be good if each night we had a 30 minute Spanish session where we practiced together. Last night Eric and Nicole's brains were fried, so we decided to start tonight.
I have not done much today besides walk to school with Eric and Nicole and run back. I took a different route that was a little bit longer. Trying to build up my endurance. It is hard to get used to working out in this weather. When I got home, I took some random pictures which you saw at the beginning of the blog.
I am going to go into town in a bit and go to a hotel where they have a small managerie and plantlife exhibit. You can volunteer there to lead little tours around, so I want to see if I can do that. Although, I may do it tomorrow when I am dressed more professionally b/c I am planning to go to hotels. I am going to take my resume around to different hotels offering my services as a water exercise instructor, swim instructor, pool & spa operator, aerobics instructor, CPR instructor and possibly English teacher. Steve has also mentioned a few things he may have for me and Eric to do, so it looks like a possibility of staying here at least in February.
Eric seems to be enjoying his class a lot. Yesterday they had a long day because they had their regular class and then stayed later to watch the instructors teach a class to real students. He really enjoyed seeing that as it is most likely what he'll be doing in the near future.
I am meeting Eric and Nicole around 4pm and we're heading to the beach. The sun sets around 5:30pm, so we won't have much time!
This weekend we have plans to either go to Playa Jaco (about 45 min. north) which is a bigger beach town or to the Manuel Antonio National Park, which is the biggest tourist attraction in Costa Rica. Muy divertido (very fun)!
We're enjoying your adventures and seeing the pics. Hope everything is going smoothly and that you're both having a lot of fun.
