Lazy days...

My boogie board has purple dolphins.

I'm trying to catch a wave (the waves were small).
Not having much luck am I?
 Nicole is doing better!
She let the little boy use the boogie board.

It has been quite a cloudy day today. Still hot of course, but you don't have the sun beating down. Last night it rained for awhile, so this much be what's left over. We did have the chance to get to the beach yesterday which was nice. Steve gave me a ride to the school around 2:15pm and we left around 2:30pm. The beach was sunny at first and Nicole and I attempted to boogie board for a bit. After each of us tried, we just let a little boy use it for the rest of the time we were there. Eric had gone way down the beach to a place called Playitas, which means small beaches, that supposedly had a better break.
I believe I've mentioned before about the vendors that walk up and down the beach carrying coolers on their backs and heads filled with drinks or fresh fruit. Well, Nicole got some watermelon from one vendor, and then a little while later another guy came buy selling donuts! That seemed weird. We declined... but when he came back by going the other way we got one to share! They were pretty big and had caramel inside and sugar on the outside. Yum! Neither one of us has had anything sweet since we got here, so that was a super treat.
There are also many guys that go around passing out flyers advertising clubs. We got one for the Beach Monkey or something like that where ladies got in free and got free drinks. It sounded crazy, however, we didn't go b/c both of them have school.
Nothing eventful happened last night. We got home and Nicole made herself dinner so I made Eric and I some cheese tortillini with sauce and mushrooms. It was yummy. I was so tired by 8:30pm, I'm not sure why. We usually go to bed around 10 or 10:30pm. So, we put on Arrested Development and went to sleep.
This morning I did not walk with Eric and Nicole. I actually had a hard time getting out of bed. We both usually get up sometime between 6:30am and 7am, but I did not officially get out of bed until around 10am. I wasn't asleep that whole time, but I did not want to get up. Even now I am pretty tired. Eric left a bit earlier than usual because he planned to stop by the place where Christina, Steve's girlfriend, works. She is ok at English, but wants to learn more and Eric is planning to use her as his student for the 2 private lessons he is required to give. He radioed me earlier and said they weren't open when he stopped by. I think he was planning to go back at lunch time.
I received all of my TESL material in emails last night, so I have been working on the first section today as well as working on homework for ECU. I have to find out when the town hall meetings are here b/c I am supposed to attend one for my class. Steve will go with me to interpret and b/c he is a business owner so he likes to go.
Eric will be in class today until around 5:30pm, so that means he probably will get home closer to 6pm. It is a long day for him. I am planning to go for a run around 4ish if the weather holds. That is usually the time it starts cooling down. I have also applied to multiple jobs today so far, so we'll see if anyone responds.
Ok, going to get back to homework!
